Darren R. Cecil
Darren R. Cecil, M.A., a long standing member of the local business
community, established his first San Diego business in 1992. He is an
international speaker, served as a University instructor for 15 years, and
trained 4,000 volunteers for Super Bowl XXXII.

Darren is an author and professionally trained coach with a degree in
Counseling from The Ohio State University. He is the President of San Diego
Sales, Inc. -- the San Diego franchise for Sandler Sales Institute which
Entrepreneur Magazine named the number one management training program five
years running. He compels business leaders to achieve top performance
through a unique program of ongoing reinforcement training offered weekly.

A partial client list includes Washington Mutual, The San Diego Business Journal, Nationwide, Anheuser-Busch, Legoland, the San Diego Padres, SeaWorld, Toyota, Honda, Toyota Financial Services, Communications Plus, SDA Security, Boeing, Merrill Lynch, American Express, Destination Hotels & Resorts, the National Football League, SPAWAR (Space and Naval Warfare Systems), and Qualcomm.

He is married to Christine his wife of 15plus years and has three children.
His 12 year old daughter, Tinsley, his 9 year old son CJ, and his 5 year old
son Darren.

Michael Kenny
Michael Kenny is one of the most experienced members of the Afterburner Team. Since 1997 he has worked with hundreds of different Companies providing Flawless Execution solutions. As the Afterburner Strategy and Debriefing subject matter expert, Michael is a key provider of Afterburner Intellectual Property. He is also a contributing author to and featured on the cover of Afterburner’s latest release, "Flawless Execution".

Michael is a Graduate of the US Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Theoretical Mathematics. As a Corporate Wingman he uses his analytical skill to properly assess the functionality of Companies. His unique leadership style and outgoing personality make him a favorite among his Clientele.

As a Marine Fighter Pilot he first flew the venerable AV-8B Harrier for 5 years and then the unrivaled F/A-18 Hornet for the last 12 years, accumulating over 3800 flight hours. Michael Flew 36 combat mission during Desert Storm and supported combat operations in Somalia.

In 1992 he was handpicked to attend the elite Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron (MAWTS) course or the Marine equivalent of "Top Gun". From 1993-1997, Pisser continued to excel as an instructor at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC) in Fallon, Nevada. NSAWC is the center of excellence for naval aviation training and tactics development and includes the famous Top Gun Program. These Top notch training environments afforded him the requisite skills to teach Businesses how to lead, train and standardize their Teams.

With over 19 years of Leadership experience as a Marine Corps Officer, Michael continues to serve with the Marine Corps Reserve. He is also a Pilot for a Major Airline and resides in Alexandria, Virginia

Stuart Bilick
As part of IBM's Global General Business organization, a group that generates more than 20 percent of IBM's revenue, Stuart is responsible for developing IBM's strategy for serving the IT and business needs of financial institutions under $20 billion in assets. He is also responsible for building and marketing solutions for this growing market segment and to understand the impact they have on small and mid-size banks, credit unions, and financial services clients. Stuart has been with IBM for 28 years and previously held positions in marketing, sales, and sales management

 


John F. “Jack” Prim

Jack Prim began his career in the financial services industry in 1977 as a sales representative for the Burroughs Corporation, responsible for selling hardware solutions to banks, savings and loans, and credit unions.  After serving in a variety of progressive sales and sales management positions with Burroughs, in 1985 he joined Broadway & Seymour, Inc., a provider of technology solutions primarily for community banks.   

While at Broadway & Seymour, Jack performed progressive sales and marketing management roles, was instrumental in the development and success of the company’s outsourced data processing offering, and was promoted to vice president of Client Services. 

Jack joined Jack Henry & Associates, Inc.® through the company’s 1995 acquisition of Broadway & Seymour’s Community Banking Division.  He was initially named general manager of OutLink Data Centers™, the information outsourcing division created by Jack Henry & Associates.  In 2000, his role was expanded to general manager of eServices, a new business unit formed to encompass the company’s electronic processing and outsourcing services.  Based on Jack’s decisive management style, he was promoted to chief operating officer in 2001, president in 2002, and chief executive officer in 2004.  In addition to currently serving as CEO, he was named to the company’s Board of Directors in August 2007. 

As CEO, Jack has led the company’s ongoing progress and performance, including its focused diversification acquisition strategy and the 16 supporting acquisitions.  This strategy focuses on acquiring specialized products and services that are sold under the company’s ProfitStars™ brand to virtually any financial services organization regardless of asset size, charter, or core processing platform.

Jack holds a master’s degree in business administration, is a competitive runner, and the father of three.  He currently resides in Monett, Missouri with his wife, Margaret.

Warren W. Lewis
Marketing Director
U.S. Banking Industry Microsoft Corporation

Warren brings 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry to his current position as Marketing Director - U.S. Banking Industry. He joined the company seven years’ ago as the WW Industry Manager for Banking in the Enterprise and Partner Group. More recently, he served as Marketing Director for the Financial Services Group.

Before joining Microsoft, he held executive positions at Seafirst Bank (Bank of America) and ONB (US Bancorp), and was co-founder of a commercial bank in Washington State, (Pacific NW Bank acquired by Wells Fargo in 2004). His responsibilities included product and delivery systems development, regional branches, a Visa credit card division, debit card programs, indirect lending initiatives, ATM and other payment services, marketing services and corporate strategic planning.

 Warren also spent a number of years serving the credit union movement as part of their trade association system. In that role, he developed a shared branching system and a cooperative indirect lending program on the Web, Most recently; he was part of an e-commerce startup company creating a hardware device to enable secure debit card payments on the Internet.

He was an early pioneer in electronic banking. He managed one of the early ATM networks, the earliest telephone bill payment program, and broke new ground with debit card use and ATM placements at the point-of-sale. He helped develop the Accel ATM/POS Network and served on its board. He also worked with Federal regulators to draft the Electronic Funds Transfer Act (Regulation E). He was a founding member of the EFT Association and played an early marketing role for NACHA.

Warren began his marketing and sales career in brand management at Procter & Gamble and later for Sunkist Growers. He is a highly regarded speaker and author on the financial services industry; presenting at events for the American Bankers Association, Argentina Banking Association, Brazilian Bankers Association, Asian Banking Journal, MasterCard International, Bank Marketing Association and other trade organizations.

Warren attended Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA and received his degree in business administration from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He also completed the Graduate School of Banking from the Pacific Coast Banking School, held at the University of Washington.

Jeff Hoffman 

Jeff Hoffman is a recognized entrepreneur and innovator in the Internet and entertainment industries, as well as an accomplished international speaker on Innovation, Branding, Entrepreneurship, and Business Leadership to a global audience.  Jeff has been a keynote speaker at major conferences and symposiums in over 40 different countries, and is currently writing a much-anticipated book on how companies can use new techniques in Innovation and Idea Harvesting to become world leaders in their field. 

Most recognized for his role in the creation of Priceline.com, Jeff is an Internet pioneer who has spent his life building companies and motivating business leaders and their employees all around the world, has successfully built and sold a number of start-up companies, while traveling around the globe and adding to his knowledge base of emerging trends and new competitive requirements for tomorrow’s business landscape.  .  

Jeff started his first software company while still a student at Yale, as a means to finance his college education, and has been launching and building companies ever since.  Today Jeff serves as a Mentor to many new companies, whether in his role as Entrepreneur in Residence at the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) at Georgia Tech, or his role as Business Coach in the Kaufman Institute’s FastTrac Entrepreneur’s program, or as a Judge in the Business Launch Competition sponsored annually by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).  Jeff has participated in similar programs at such institutions as MIT, Pepperdine, and others.

Jeff’s first startup was a software company in the travel industry named CTI, a company that quickly became the industry leader in technology for the travel and tourism industry, and was later acquired by American Express. For his achievements, Jeff was named one of the industry’s 25 Most Influential Executives.  Hoffman was also a founder of early e-commerce pioneer Virtual Shopping, Inc., which developed patented, proprietary software and hardware for online retailing on the Internet, and was later acquired by Europe’s Wallenberg Group. 

More recently, Jeff was a founder and CEO in the Priceline.com family of companies, where Jeff held two CEO titles and led the development and launch of Priceline’s consumer-to-consumer company.  Hoffman also served as an executive and investor in Walker Digital, the parent company of Priceline and one of the country’s most innovative creators of intellectual property and new business models.

Today Jeff serves as Managing Partner of Smith-Hoffman Capital, a private equity firm investing in early and growth stage companies in a wide array of industries, including consumer products, health care, and technology. Jeff also serves on the executive and advisory boards of a number of other companies.

Outside his technology ventures, Hoffman is an independent film producer, having executive produced such successful independent films as CABIN FEVER, and has also produced concerts and music events including such recording artists as Elton John and Britney Spears.  Hoffman was recently elected Chairman of the American Association of Adapted Sports Programs, which is a non-profit organization serving to bring sports and school sports leagues to disabled children all across the country.
