Editorial Page Focuses on Wall Street, Credit Union Inequity

In a new Washington Times op-ed, ICBA President and CEO Cam Fine challenged policymakers to hold Wall Street to the same laws and regulations as Main Street. Fine contrasted the fines accumulated by the largest megabanks for their misconduct with the swarms of examiners looking over the shoulders of hometown community banks.

In a separate editorial, The Washington Times exposed the ICBA-opposed National Credit Union Administration proposal to help the tax-exempt credit unions it regulates compete with banks in ways that Congress has consistently prohibited.
